How To Organize A Craft Space With Inexpensive Thrifted Finds
My Dad and I finished up my corner of his workshop and I want to show you how to organize a craft space with inexpensive thrifted finds. Several trips to the Habitat For Humanity Restore, a few free finds, an estate sale and some creative DIYs pulled this space together!

The wood for that make up the shelves that hold my paint jars is something quite unexpected!
Sorry for the blurry picture but that is a $2 bedrail from the Restore!
I measured and marked the length of the shelf (in our case 29 inches) and Dad cut the bed rail into the three pieces.
These shelves were installed with these shelf brackets. In order to hang them I measured the height of two large jars of Dixie Belle paint so I would be able to fill up my shelves.

Paintbrushes
I thrifted a small wood box that was divided on the inside with cardstock by the previous owner. I loved the bright yellow and very handmade quality of this and its perfect for my paintbrushes, scissors and more!
On the edge of my workbench (which was my dad’s!) is an Ikea shelf that I purchased at an estate sale for a few dollars. This holds all the things I grab for often.
The latest on Youtube:
Underneath the workbench are two sets of boxes. The black boxes on the shelf contain upcoming projects. Everything for that project is gathered inside the box which makes it easy to jump right in and start crafting. The black boxes were fifty cents each at a church garage sale!
Under the bench are two wood crates that will hold paint colors that I do not reach for often or that are overstock.
Organizing Tools In A Craft Space With Inexpensive Thrifted Finds
Pegboard is wonderful for organizing a variety of things! You can search for pieces on Facebook Marketplace or at the Restore.
I painted mine Apricot by Dixie Belle to brighten up the boring brown. 😉
After the tools were arranged on the pegboard it makes it so handy to reach over and grab what I need.

Display Area With Inexpensive Thrifted Finds
In my craft space a place to take photos and videos of finished projects was important. And I needed to make this inexpensively! In steps a free to me crib headboard and footboard. I used the headboard to create the background and a table leaf and brackets for the shelf.
We started by dad using a small saw to remove the inner panel from the crib.
This was attached directly to the wall with brad nails and the shelf was attached to the wall directly underneath.
