Create Cute Gingerbread Shelf Sitters With This Easy DIY
I absolutely love a gingerbread theme in a kitchen during the Christmas season. Whether it’s red, white and gingerbread or decorated in pastel colors this theme is sweet to decorate with. In this post I’ll share how to create cute gingerbread shelf sitters with this easy DIY using the gingerbread doll printable and upcycled wood blocks.
These shelf sitters use Twigs & Fluff’s gingerbread doll printable, thrifted wood blocks, mod podge and fabric strips – that’s all.
Just a few supplies for Gingerbread Shelf Sitters
I purchased the wood blocks from a favorite thrift store. It was a very large bag of this size and two that were a little bigger.
The Steps To Create Cute Gingerbread Shelf Sitters
I was able to pull off the numbers on the blocks very easily with no damage to the block underneath.
To prepare the gingerbread printable I used my paper trimmer to tear the edges of the printable instead of cutting them.
I then inked the edges of the cards by rubbing an inkpad along all the sides.
I brushed mod podge on the wood blocks and placed my printable on top.
After letting that dry I tied a torn fabric strip around the bottom of the gingerbread shelf sitter. This is completely optional but I wanted to dress it up a bit more.
