A Cozy and Simple Fall Mantel Without Pumpkins
I created a cozy and simple fall mantel without pumpkins to transition my home from summer to fall. It is still one hundred degrees or more here in Texas so it is very hard to get into the autumn mood. And because the temperature is so hot it makes it nearly impossible to have the energy to dig out pumpkins and all of the fall decor.
And that is how my mantel became decorated with cozy fall colors instead of a smattering of pumpkins.
Blush, faded greens, silvers or greys, and some cream create a more neutral version of fall. Using these colors is one of the best ways to start decorating in the early fall. These more muted and slightly toned down shades is a great transition from summer to the autumn season.
Cozy and Simple Fall Mantel Focal Point
Tarnished silver, shades of green and brown, and cream are perfect for my fall mantel with no pumpkins.
The very large framed bird print is the focal point and where I pulled all the colors from for the other decor pieces. I love to go thrift shopping and garage sale-ing and this framed bird artwork was only $6 at a garage sale!

In this vignette I stacked plinth blocks to place a lamp on. An oval lampshade and a discretely hidden lamp cord make this cozy glow possible. With a round lampshade the lamp would have been too wide for my mantel and I used a thrifted oval lampshade.

Two vintage silver pieces and a wooden box of greenery completes this vignette. Decorating with birds is a frequent go to in my home and this mantel is no different! Doves sit in the silver casserole stand and an old vintage sparrow flashcard sits in a place card holder.
