I created a cozy and simple fall mantel without pumpkins to transition my home from summer to fall. It is still one hundred degrees or more here in Texas so it is very hard to get into the autumn mood. And because the temperature is so hot it makes it nearly impossible to have the energy to dig out pumpkins and all of the fall decor. And that is how my mantel became decorated with cozy fall colors instead of a smattering of pumpkins.

Charity started decorating just a tad for fall. Because it is still quite toasty where she is she thought an apple theme would be appropriate. She will be sharing some apple kitchen ideas with us today to give you a better idea on how to decorate on a “pre-fall theme”.
