The Best Fall Antique Booth Displays That Will Wow Customers
I have been a booth owner for four years and in that time I have had four booths in four very different antique shops. This antique mall, Clinch River Mercantile, where I have my antique mall booth now for the first time feels like my own home. It’s in my local area, the other vendors are friendly and helpful, and the vintage items are beautifully displayed and put together with care and a sense of style.
Speaking of care and a sense of style, let’s take a look at the best fall antique booth displays that will wow customers that are in my own vintage booth.
What My Business Name Means
Jesus is telling us in Luke 12:6-7 and Matthew 10:29-31 that these little sparrows that are bought for next to nothing are valuable to God and He knows if even one falls to the ground. Two sparrows are sold for a penny OR you can get a DEAL and get five sparrows for two pennies. I don’t know about you but there have been times where I feel like “THE FIFTH SPARROW.”
Booth Fall Displays On An Island
An island in a vintage booth is a grouping of furniture that sits in the middle of your booth space and is a great way to encourage traffic to come in and walk the complete perimeter of your booth. It can act as a focal point with your newest items, a themed display for seasonal items, or antique collections you want to highlight.
And because customers walk around this island it is a great idea to decorate on the surface, and to have items tucked underneath.
This is exactly what I did with my new island. I removed the large low round table that I had stacked items on and replaced it with a more narrow island.
I used a vintage wood ironing board that I recovered and a military footlocker that I placed feet on to make it a coffee table. It was the perfect spot to create a vignette of laundry room and sewing room items. A sewing machine what-not box, apothecary jars of bobbins and clothes pegs, an old scrub brush, and more.
The vintage flashcards I make (or order them in a download and print version) in their display piece sit up front on the island for a quick grab and go!
The Best Antique Booth Displays For The Fall
Along the back wall I have a mantel that I display on and in front of. Next to this mantel is what I have deemed as the English hunting lodge corner. I hung two horse prints (along with other art work) over a dresser who’s top is filled with pretty things in dark rich colors. A step stool that I got at the 127 yard sale was given a facelift and is being used as a riser for a wood grain scoop filled with chandelier crystals, a basket of petite frames, brass pieces and more. The rest of the dresser holds a unique brass lamp, horse brushes, brass horns and more.
On the mantel I have displayed a wooden doll cupboard, candle molds, antique transferware plates, copper pieces and more.
In front of the mantel I displayed an old sewing box filled with small glass bottles that I made antique labels for with IOD transfers. Under the table is an old baby bed filled with orange and white checked pillows and lace tablecloths.
Next to this, off to the side of the mantel is a seating area I created with white, pink, green and blue items. I had to have some pastels even if it is fall! I included a basket of velvet mini pumpkins to give it a nod to fall.
My Price Tags
Price tags are always a struggle! Do you hand write a gazillion tags? I have found price tags I love, there are a few steps involved but totally worth it. If for nothing else, to avoid hand cramps!
On a perforated hanging tag I place a label with my business info and qr codes with links to my website and social at the top. I create an excel spreadsheet with my items and their prices. That excel spreadsheet is used for my labels that I print on a niimbot printer. The price tags are placed on the bottom of the perforated tag. I use a hang tag string with a snap closure to hang on items or tape onto an item.
The links above are affiliate links, I make a small commission when you click on item and purchase.
Add Height To Your Antique Booth Displays For The Fall
In this area, I’m calling pottery corner, I created height with an antique highchair. This is a great idea to add in more space and bring more items to eye level. I have collected pottery pieces over the last year to add to this display.
On the opposite side wall I created height with this folk art shelf, you can see its upcycle here. On each of its shelves I grouped like items so the customer base can see the whole group, see how it is styled and can use those ideas for their own space.
