Simple Steps To Make A Minnow Basket Into A Simple Light Fixture
First things first separate your minnow baskets into four pieces – this will be your “lamp shade” so to speak for your lighting project.
Take one of your lamp kits and place the bulb housing piece down into the small hole of your minnow baskets. With your permanent marker draw small marks on the wires of your basket where the bulb housing piece stops. This will make the hole the right size for your bulb housing to fit snuggly.
On those marks snip the wires with your wire cutters removing the small piece of wire completely.
Screw one of the socket rings from your lighting DIY kits onto your socket piece. Place the socket piece into the hole you cut. Screw on the second socket ring to sandwich the cut wires in between.

Purchase a fun mounting bracket, they come in so many themes in wood and metal that there will be a perfect one for your decor. Run your lamp cord through the bracket and plug in to the wall just like a floor lamp.
