A LITTLE HISTORY AND A FEW DETAILS ABOUT

The Hemingray TS Glass Insulator

The Hemingray T.S. was made in the 1940s-1960s and was used on telephone circuits. The “T” tells us it was a transposition insulator, and the “S” tells us it was to be used with a steel pin. Now these insulators serve as décor in our homes or as collection pieces.

  • Dimensions: 3 3/4″ H × 2 5/8″ W
  • Color: Clear
  • CD 129
  • CD Number: CD stands for Consolidated Design number. This is a numbering system developed and used by the insulator collecting hobbyist to identify and differentiate between the hundreds of different insulator styles. These numbers do not appear anywhere on the insulators themselves.
